USC basketball commit Alijah Arenas, who is the son of former NBA player Gilbert Arenas, is making significant progress as he continues to recover from a single-car crash that temporarily left him in a medically induced coma.

Arenas, a five-star member of the 2025 recruiting class, is out of an induced coma and has opened his eyes but remains intubated

According to a statement made on his dad, Gilbert Arenas', podcast, the 18-year-old should be released from the hospital soon and suffered no major injuries.
