Residents in Leicestershire have reported their phones emitting a siren to warn of severe flooding, with a major incident being declared by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service.

Serious flooding swamped parts of England on Tuesday and snow forced three airports to close temporarily as wet and icy weather combined to extend travel chaos that has plagued the U.K. since the start of the year.

On Friday at 10:27 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a flood warning in effect until further notice for Wheeler County.
