While Celtic's position in the Scottish Premiership is characteristically excellent, they find themselves in the middle of the pack in the Champions League, just inside the new-format playoff qualification spots. Celtic continue their Champions League campaign today with a win over bottom-placed Young Boys as the Champions League returns. The revamped league stage sees 36 teams compete in a single table with the top 24 progressing. Teams seeded one to eight go into the last 16 while nine to 24 compete in a playoff.
