According to NFL.com, the Texans top needs to address this offseason include receiver, guard, defensive tackle, cornerback, and offensive tackle. The Texans currently have $6.08 million in available cap space, according to Over the Cap. Relative to the rest of the NFL, this ranks 24th.

The two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs kick off their 2025 AFC playoff run Sunday afternoon in the Divisional round against the Houston Texans.
The Chiefs have become synonymous with the AFC Championship game. Kansas City will be playing in its seventh consecutive title game after defeating the Texans 23-14. The game was scrutinized, as most Chiefs games are, for the perceived favoritism shown by the refs for Kansas City, but really, Houston couldn't get out of its own way.
Mahomes and Allen have been linked throughout their careers. The former was drafted in 2017 but sat a year behind Alex Smith. Allen was drafted in 2018 and played in 12 games as a rookie. Both quarterbacks have comparable skills and stats and have been considered the future of the game for the past four years.
The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Monday that the AFC South franchise would host second interviews with three head coach candidates — Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh,
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel hired Josh McDaniels as the offensive coordinator. Mass Live reported on Tuesday that McDaniels interviewed for the position.
With the season reaching its end on Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium, the Houston Texans’ focus is built on bettering its roster for the 2025 campaign. If all goes according to plan, the Texans will look to punch their ticket to a Super Bowl and a date at Levi Stadium on Feb. 8, 2026.
Indianapolis Colts. They fell short of their goal of winning the AFC South for an eleventh straight year.  A division the Colts once dominated has now seen each team win it twice since the last time the Colts could call themselves the AFC South champions.
