NASA astronaut Sunita Williams 's return is now the reason for discord in the space community. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, on the same lines as US President Donald Trump, has stated that Williams was 'abandoned' on the International Space Station (ISS) for political reasons; and it's causing serious disputes.

Bonnie Pandya dismissed any worries about her daughter as Williams "knows what she is doing" and believed that space was as safe as anywhere else.

When asked about Elon Musk’s claims about bringing back the two “abandoned” astronauts, Sunita William’s mother Bonnie Pandya said, “I don’t think this should be politicised…”
