The newly-appointed ICC Chairman Jay Shah is currently in Brisbane to attend the 2032 Olympics meet. Shah reached Brisbane on Thursday and is set to meet the Indian cricketers as well. The Indian cricket team is currently in Brisbane for the much-awaited third Test at the Gabba.

According to a report by news agency PTI, the BCCI are currently a bit clueless as to who will replace Jay Shah as the BCCI secretary. There are names like BCCI joint secretary Devjit Saikia and Gujarat Cricket Association's Anil Patel in the mix,

Highlighting his priority of cricket’s continued involvement in the Olympic movement, new International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah, on Thursday, held a meeting with Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee (OCOG) CEO Cindy Hook.

Jay Shah met top officials of the 2032 Olympics which will take place in Brisbane. Cricket will return to the Olympic games after 128 years in 2028 at Los Angeles. The Brisbane Olympics are yet to confirm the list of sports.

Jay Shah recently reached Australia for a meeting with the Brisbane Games’ organising committee and is is likely to head to The Gabba to watch the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

ICC chairman Jay Shah met Brisbane 2032 officials. They discussed adding cricket to the 2032 Olympics. Cricket will be in the 2028 Los Angeles Games. The 2032 inclusion is not yet final. Shah also aims to finalize the Champions Trophy hosting plans.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially added cricket among the five new sports in the LA28 Olympic program at the 141st IOC session held over a year ago.
