During the Philadelphia Eagles' visit to the White House on Monday, President Donald Trump claimed he tried to help the New York Giants avoid what has come to be viewed by most people in and around the NFL as a serious blunder: Allowing running back Saquon Barkley to sign with the eventual Super Bowl champion Eagles.

The New York Giants added Notre Dame WR Beaux Collins as an undrafted free agent after the 2025 NFL draft. Beaux Collins has the strong prototypical build required for traditional X-receivers. Collins’ frame is an advantage when gaining positioning for the ball and boxing defenders out.

Shedeur Sanders ended up a fifth round pick of the Cleveland Browns in the 2025 NFL draft after spending a good deal of time being discussed like he was a potential top five pick. He wasn't even the first quarterback the Browns took in the draft.

On the latest episode of the Scoop City podcast (starts at 10:00 mark), The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported toward the end of the 2024 season the Giants had Sanders ranked as the No. 1 quarterback on their big board. "Once they realized they weren't gonna get Cam Ward," Russini reported, "Shedeur to them was their top quarterback."
