A federal judge on Tuesday continued to block a sweeping freeze on federal funding, a key move of the Trump administration as it reviews government spending to ensure it aligns with his policies.

A U.S. judge on Tuesday extended an order blocking President Donald Trump's administration from instituting a sweeping freeze on trillions of dollars in federal funding by pausing grants, loans and other financial support.

After hearing arguments Friday, Judge John McConnell Jr. said he will rule within a week on whether to further require the Trump administration to keep federal funding flowing.

The groups said federal funds are still being frozen, grants are being stalled and funding portals are being taken down

Minnesota victims’ services groups, like crisis centers and hotlines rallied at the state capitol on Monday to support a new bill that would bring them state funding. The groups talked in length about the impact a federal funding freeze has had on their operations.
