Disney’s settlement with FuboTV is raising concerns about how other television distributors will be able to compete in the sports streaming space.

Disney will own 70 percent of the combined vMVPD company (still called Fubo); the transaction is subject to regulatory and shareholder approval. Should the deal fall through during those stages, Fubo will be on the receiving end of a $130 million termination fee.

Disney will own a 70% stake in the resulting company, and Fubo will retain a 30% share. Fubo's management will run the new company, while Disney will appoint the majority of the board of directors. Both brands will continue to operate as they are today.
