The Aadhaar card has now become the most important document. It is needed for things like taking advantage of government schemes, getting a SIM card, and opening a bank account. Many people had an Aadhaar card made a long time ago and there were some mistakes in the name or date of birth in it.

The Unique Identification Authority of India has announced that any updates to Aadhaar cards made after the December 14 deadline will incur a fine of Rs 50. UIDAI has urged all affected Aadhaar holders to complete the revalidation process by submitting the necessary documents.

Those who want to update their Aadhaar details without spending money, now have got more time. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has once again extended the deadline for free updates till 14 December 2024.

Under ‘My Aadhaar,’ click on ‘Update Your Aadhaar.’ Select ‘Update Aadhaar Details (Online)’ and then ‘Document Update.’ Provide your Aadhaar number, fill in the Captcha, and click ‘Send OTP.’ Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number. Select details you want to update, such as your address or name.
