Los Angeles Sparks center Cameron Brink was in on Kendrick Lamar before his feud with Drake took over the internet. Cam recently revealed on her podcast, Straight to Cam, that she was asked, “Kendrick or Drake?” during the 2024 WNBA Draft. The young star remembers choosing Kendrick, a choice that differed from her peers.

“When the [WNBA] draft was going on, we were doing questions on the orange carpet. The question was: Kendrick or Drake?” the Los Angeles Sparks first-round pick recalled on a recent episode of the Straight To Cam podcast. “And everyone chose Drake, and I was the only one that chose Kendrick.”

Resurfaced photos from 2022 appear to show the Compton native taking a break from pushing his pen to attend college classes at UCLA.
