An updated cold weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 12:04 p.m. in effect until Wednesday at 2 a.m. The advisory is for Quad Cities

We will climb out of the extreme cold this morning. It will still be a chilly afternoon, but the dangerous cold will be behind us. Clouds will move this evening and overnight and that will lead to our next chance for snow Wednesday.

On Tuesday at 3:08 a.m. an updated extreme cold warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until noon. The warning is for Mason City and Waterloo-Cedar Falls
