A straw poll conducted at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this weekend found that attendees overwhelmingly favored Vice President J.D. Vance to be President Donald Trump’s successor in 2028.
In results released Saturday afternoon, Vance was the choice of 61% of CPAC attendees. Former Trump counselor and conservative activist Steve Bannon came in a distant second with 12%, while Florida Gov. and one-time Trump rival Ron DeSantis came in third with 7% support.
