In Friday night’s overtime win over the Phoenix Suns, Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokić had one of the best games of any player this season, strengthening his case to repeat as the league’s MVP potentially.
After a shaky start to the second half of the season, the OKC defense has started to look like the defense we witnessed for the majority of the season. The Thunder forced 7 turnovers, 14 blocks, and held Denver to 30% from three. A big part of the win was the difference on the boards, 56-48 in favor of OKC.
