A new blockbuster trade proposal sends Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner to a direct rival in the Eastern Conference.
Under head coach Rick Carlisle, defense has never been the biggest priority for the Indiana Pacers. Part of it is due to the personnel they have, but their system that is predicated on pace and space prioritizes having the best offensive players on the court.
Turner could command a lot of money in free agency because he is going to be the best center to hit the market. The Pacers are risking losing him for nothing by not trading him. R
Before listing reasons to trade Turner, the Pacers center has an expiring contract. Over the past three seasons, Turner reached John Collins' levels of reports mentioning the center in trade rumors without a move following.
