Thursday afternoon's game was halted due to rain at about 2:40 p.m., with the Yankees leading the Rays, 7-4, in the bottom of the fifth inning.

And ironically, it went to a rain delay just hours before the deadline. Right about at the same time as the delay, the Yankees completed a trade for Pirates reliever David Bednar. It's not like the front office folks needed the rain delay to focus on getting the deal done, but it was fun timing.
