The NTSB issued its preliminary report on the midair collision between a passenger plane and helicopter over Washington, D.C., in January.

The National Transportation Safety Board will announce on Tuesday it is making an urgent safety recommendation to prevent helicopter operations when two runways are being used at Washington Reagan National Airport following a mid-air collision in January that killed 67 people,

Sean Duffy said the FAA was accepting both NTSB recommendations following the Potomac midair prelim, making permanent changes in the D.C. airspace.
