The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said geomagnetic storms may occur this weekend, leading to strong northern lights shows.

Historical data shows that auroras occur more often during the spring and autumn equinox.

Minor geomagnetic storms could cause a brighter-than-usual northern lights display across the northern United States on Tuesday night.

"The further north you are, the more likely the chances are that you will be able to see them," she stated, adding that while the lights are more visible through cameras due to th
