The incident happened around 12:53 a.m. in the area of mile marker 35 just north of Searchlight. Authorities said the crash involves one vehicle involved in a roll-over crash and have confirmed one person is dead.

Nevada State Police are investigating a deadly rollover crash near the Nevada-California state line Friday morning.

A deadly motorcycle crash closed off a road in the Red Rock Canyon area on Thursday, according to Nevada State Police. It happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. along State Route 159, near mile marker 9, also known as Red Rock Nevada Scenic Byway.

State Police say Mark Michaud, 49, of Fairfield, was attempting to cross the off-ramp when he was hit by a tractor-trailer around 3:37 a.m.
