Eknath Shinde has grabbing the spotlight since the BJP-led NDA, also known as the Mahayuti alliance, secured a landslide victory in recent Maharashtra polls.

Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Saturday announced the date of swearing-in ceremony of the newly-formed Mahayuti government in Maharashtra. The swearing-in ceremony will take place on December 5.

The Mahayuti government will take oath on December 5 at Azad Maidan, Mumbai, with Prime Minister Modi attending. The alliance, including BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, won 230 of the 288 assembly seats in the November 20 elections.

BJP on Saturday announced that the new Mahayuti govt will be sworn in on Dec 5 in what is being seen as a signal to Eknath Shinde to make up his mind fast about joining the govt led by Devendra Fadnavis.

Tagging the party’s Chief Ministerial candidate Devendra Fadnavis, Shiv Sena ’s Eknath Shinde, and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)’s Ajit Pawar, the state BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule said on social media,
