Melissa Rivers revealed during an interview with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins that she managed to save her mother Joan Rivers’ prized Emmy award before her house burned down in the L.A. fires (via Entertainment Weekly).

Joan Rivers’ daughter Melissa had to act fast as fire approached her Pacific Palisades-area, but she managed to grab her famous mother’s Emmy before evacuating. In a live interview Wednesday evening,

Melissa said her "heart is so broken" as the Pacific Palisades was "wiped off the map" by the fires: "That's the end of everything that belonged to my family and the history of it."
