Building those pipelines within the state’s top high schools could continue to pay dividends for Freeze and Auburn. Currently, the top player in Alabama for the 2026 recruiting class is wide receiver Cederian Morgan out of Benjamin Russell High School, the same school current Auburn wide receiver Malcolm Simmons attended.

Hugh Freeze is enjoying another signing day at Auburn, bringing home one of the nation’s top recruiting classes. High school recruiting has been Freeze’s top priority since arriving on the Plains and results have shown.

"We will be looking for who is the best fit for that extra spot," Hugh Freeze said of Auburn's quarterback position on Wedensday.
