The Michigan kicker -- critical in the Wolverines’ 13-10 upset win over No. 2 Ohio State on Saturday -- was named kicker of the year in the Big Ten Conference, the league announced Tuesday.

Michigan State kicker Jonathan Kim was voted second team All-Big Ten by the media and coaches. Kim was 19-of-21, including 8-of-8 on kicks between 40-49 yards and 3-of-4 on kicks of 50 yards or more. Michigan State punter Ryan Eckley also earned second-team honors by coaches.

Michigan football and Michigan State football players were named to the 2024 All-Big Ten first, second or honorable mention teams on Tuesday.

The Michigan kicker was 2 for 2 on field goal attempts and converted his only point-after try Saturday in the Wolverines’ 13-10 upset win over No. 2 Ohio State, knocking through a 21-yard field goal with 45 seconds left to secure the victory.

With 48 seconds left in Michigan-Ohio State, it was obvious that everything about The Game and its aftermath — from the result, to the complexion of the Wolverines’ season, to the Buckeyes’ Big Ten title hopes — came down to Dominic Zvada.

Dominic Zvada, the transfer from Arkansas State, has been named the winner of the Big Ten's Bakken-Anderson Kicker of the Year award following his outstanding season for the Wolverines.
