Charli XCX will collect the songwriter of the year award at the upcoming BRIT Awards. The Brat star is the recipient of the honorary prize, which has previously been won by British acts Ed Sheeran (2022), Kid Harpoon (2023) and most recently, Raye (2024).

The BRIT Awards has announced its latest pre-show award winner, with Charli XCX winning Songwriter of the Year. This year’s awards will take place at The O2 in London this Saturday, March 1, and be broadcast live on ITV. It will once again be hosted by Jack Whitehall for 2025, returning for his fifth time in the role.

We’re still a few days away from the actual Brits ceremony but it’s been confirmed that Charli XCX has already won one award: Songwriter Of The Year. And to go alongside it, her longstanding producer AG Cook has been confirmed as Producer Of The Year for his work on Brat.

Charli XCX will be awarded the Songwriter of the Year honour at the 2025 BRIT Awards on Saturday. The Guess singer will receive the honour at The O2 in London on 1 March in recognition of the success of her 2024 album Brat.
