Brandon Vazquez rejoined Major League Soccer when Austin announced it reached a transfer agreement to acquire the 26-year-old forward from Mexican club Monterrey.

Austin FC acquired United States striker Brandon Vázquez from Liga MX CF Monterrey for a club-record transfer fee on Monday.

ATX fans have already begun to gravitate to Vazquez’s confident-but-not-cocky personality. His arrival to town was met with plenty of fanfare at the Fairmont Hotel, where Vazquez snapped photos with fans and rubber chickens alike, flashing a million-dollar smile in each shot.
