Pierce Brosnan still holds dear his turn as 007 in the James Bond franchise and hopes that the property’s new owners treat it with “respect” and “dignity.”

James Bond will reportedly continue to be male and British after Amazon MGM Studios took over creative control of the franchise last month. According to a new report by the Daily Mail, an internal memo circulated by Amazon stipulated that the gender and the nationality of the character would not change after Daniel Craig stepped down from the role post-No Time to Die.
