Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been out for a month, and multiplayer is, of course, where cheaters are doing their best to ruin everyone else’s fun – but Activision is doing its best to catch them with an increasing emphasis on using AI.

Over 19,000 Ranked Play bans have been dished out to Black Ops 6 players during the mode’s first week of availability, according to Activision. Ranked Play launched on November 20 and is accessible to players who have achieved at least 50 wins in multiplayer.

Black Ops 6 has had the biggest first month in franchise history, with more players and more multiplayer matches than ever before.

Activision has responded to concerns about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Ranked playlist, and specifically the efforts being undertaken to try to thwart cheaters. The company says it's banned thousands of players and is banning more people every hour, but some popular streamers have spoken out to voice their ongoing concerns.

Black Ops 6 has hundreds of challenges that allow players to simultaneously earn cosmetic rewards and experience for completing difficult milestones, the most obvious of which is the weapon camo system.

Black Ops 6 has the weapon diversity we've come to expect from a CoD release, and so naturally includes that same weapon class that's always held in either high reverence or complete disdain: sniper rifles.
