A report was issued from the NWS San Diego CA on Thursday at 9:06 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 10 p.m. The alert is for San Diego County Coastal Areas, San Diego County Inland Valleys and San Diego County Mountains.

Sierra Madre city leaders issued an evacuation warning​ in anticipation of the upcoming weather event. The warning will be in effect until 6 a.m.

There will be a dry spell between storms — and get ready for some cooler temperatures until the rain is gone, plus snow in local mountains.

Southern California welcomed a surge of moisture that forecasters say could be the first in a series of early March storms, including a potential atmospheric river.

Snow levels will lower to 3,500 feet or less with four to seven inches possible for elevations of about 5,000 feet. A winter storm warning issued by weather officials for mountain

Rain totals on Sunday were between a trace and a half-inch in parts of Los Angeles County. The showers moved quickly through the area, at about 25 mph from northwest to southeast, and prompted a flood advisory in the Eaton burn area. The flood advisory was lifted when the rain moved out of the area.
