The Salute to Veterans Bowl was one of the first games to have its matchup announced on Tuesday. Here's who's coming to Montgomery.

The Hawai'i Bowl marks just the second matchup between the Spartans and Bulls. South Florida won the first game between the two programs, a 44–22 game played in San Jose to open the 2017 season. San Jose State returns to the game for the second year in a row, after losing to Coastal Carolina last season, 24–14.

The Bulls' opponent, San Jose State, finished the season 7-5 and fifth in the Mountain West. The Spartans' last two losses came to ranked teams: Boise State (42-21) and UNLV (27-16). Kickoff for this game is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on December 24, and will be broadcast on ESPN.
