New York Jets veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor is no stranger to taking a back seat in his NFL career, and having been behind Aaron Rodgers last year, he will again be behind another quarterback in Justin Fields in 2025.

Taylor's main goal is to help the Jets win, in whatever capacity that is as a veteran presence. He wants to help the younger members of the team, including Fields, who he knows "very well," noting they trained together this offseason.

The Jets are committed to Justin Fields as the starter in 2025 but the team envisions Tyrod Taylor as a mentor for the young QB.
