The Syracuse men’s basketball team closed out the regular season with a dominating 84-70 win over Virginia on Senior Night at the JMA Wireless Dome. Eddie Lampkin, Jr. and the Orange raced out to a 12-6 lead in the first seven minutes.

With 13 seconds left, Anthony Clayton sank two free throws. The senior guard was a bench player who entered the game late on Senior Day, and both shots whipped the Syracuse faithful at the JMA Wireless Dome into a frenzy. Even the commentators joined in the excitement, praising Clayton for a fitting send off for the Class of 2025 in Syracuse, N.Y.

Virginia (15-15, 8-11 ACC) concludes regular season action at Syracuse (12-18, 6-13 ACC) on Saturday, March 8. Tipoff at JMA Wireless Dome is set for 8 p.m. on the ACC Network.
