A body has been discovered in the River Aln after the former England rugby star tried to cross the water in his 4x4 pickup

A body has been found in the search for former England rugby player Tom Voyce, who is believed to have died after his car was swept into a river, Northumbria Police have confirmed. The search began on Sunday when Voyce, 43, failed to return home after seeing friends the previous evening, according to Northumbria Police.

Searches to locate the missing ex-Gloucester Rugby and Bath player Tom Voyce are ongoing. It was announced yesterday (December 10) that Tom was presumed dead after attempting to cross a flood-swollen river during Storm Darragh.
