A man died early Saturday morning after being shot near 24th Street and Van Buren Avenue in Phoenix At about 1:45 a.m., officers found a man who had been shot in an east Phoenix parking lot. Phoenix police said he was taken to a hospital where he later died.

An investigation is underway after Phoenix police fatally shot a suspect who pointed a gun at officers. No officers were hurt during the incident. Police were initially called to 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road for reports that an armed man was harassing someone and had driven away from the area.

A suspect who allegedly pulled out a gun was shot and killed by Phoenix Police officers late Thursday night near 79th Avenue and Mitchell Drive. The suspect was not identified.
