Move over, Dallas Cowboys. There’s a new and unlikely America’s Team in the NFL — at least for the Super Bowl.

The Eagles are the only team that beat Vince Lombardi in the postseason, handing the legendary Packers coach a 17-13 loss in the 1960 NFL Championship. That was Lombardi’s second year as head coach in Green Bay and his first playoff game with the team.

The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl-bound. After defeating the Washington Commanders XX-XX the Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs or Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl LIX. Kickoff for Super Bowl LIX is 6:30 p.m., Feb. 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

LAS VEGAS — Bettors are split in the early wagering on the Super Bowl. Those who believe in the Eagles are mostly taking them on the money line at a more favorable price than the point spread. Chiefs backers are mostly taking what is generally a 1 1/2-point line, believing Kansas City will not only win but cover.

The Philadelphia Eagles are off to the 2025 Super Bowl Bowl with a shot to win the franchise’s first NFL title since 2017.

The Eagles' fight song is called, "Fly Eagles Fly," or technically, "The Eagles' Victory Song." Originally created by Charles Borrelli and Roger Courtland in the 1950s, the song took on new life before the turn of the century. The original version was known as "Fight, Eagles, Fight," something that was changed in the newer lyrics.

The Philadelphia Eagles are back in the Super Bowl. The Eagles defeated Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders in Sunday's NFC Championship game at Lincoln Financial Field, and now are heading back to football's biggest stage for the first time in two years.
