Philadelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey was snubbed of making his second straight NBA All-Star team this season. Despite ranking fourth in the NBA in scoring, averaging a career-high 27.5 points per game, Maxey was left off the 2025 All-Star squad.

That is when Joel Embiid made his first All-Star game and then Tyrese Maxey joined him in the All-Star ranks in 2024. When considering the talent the Sixers possess, one would have assumed that they would keep that streak going in 2025.

Tyrese Maxey has not been selected to play in the 2025 All-Star Game and while you wouldn't blame him for being a bit upset, he is happy. Maxey was asked about his thoughts on not making the team in his press conference following the Philadelphia 76ers' 137-134 loss to the Denver Nuggets and he's delighted for those who made it.

The Sixers and Nuggets last met 10 days ago in Denver, and the Nuggets delivered a thumping 144-109 victory. Maxey led the Sixers with 28 points, 10 assists, and two rebounds. Nikola Jokic played at a high level with a team-high 27 points, 10 assists, and 13 rebounds.
