Authorities on Thursday charged the man accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of hockey equipment​ from a high school team during a tournament in northern Minnesota.

A Duluth man is facing a felony charge after allegedly stealing $12,000 worth of hockey sticks from a high school team.

Most of the sticks were recovered following the theft. While the incident was jarring, Scarlets coach Nate Olsen says some valuable life lessons were learned.

A 23-year-old Duluth man was charged Thursday in the theft of 40 hockey sticks from the Mankato West High School boys hockey bus downtown last weekend. Cole Saice was arrested Monday. According to the criminal complaint,
