President Donald Trump announced Sunday night that Kash Patel had tapped Dan Bongino to be second-in-command at the FBI, after the Senate confirmed Patel as the bureau’s new director last week.

President Donald Trump has named Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent who has gained popularity as a right-wing pundit and podcaster, as the FBI deputy director.

Several in the intelligence community have expressed concern over Bongino's lack of experience and support for conspiracy theories.
