Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter recently expressed his disbelief and frustration over reports that former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck was offered a staggering $10 million NIL deal to transfer to Miami.

The Athletic and CBS Sports are reporting that Miami’s NIL collective will pay Beck between $3-4 million, which is double the $1.6 million that Cam Ward reportedly was paid for the 2024 season. Beck’s NIL representative didn’t go into specifics, but told CBS Sports that Miami was the right market for Beck.

Travis Hunter made quite a lot of money through NIL deals during his time with Jackson State University and Colorado University. However, he was not one of the highest earners in college football.

Travis Hunter is expected to be one of the first names called during the 2025 NFL draft, but some recent reports about massive NIL valuations for some of the biggest players in college football had him joking about potentially hitting the transfer portal instead of turning pro.

Now, CBS Sports reports Beck could get an NIL package worth $4 million next season. If true, the deal would put him on the NIL level of Duke quarterback Darian Mensah, who CBS reported received was believed to be a two-year, $8 million deal after transferring from Tulane.

Beck, who won’t start throwing again for a few months after having UCL surgery, was the only available QB Miami really wanted.
