Liverpool are in advanced talks with Bayern Munich over a deal for Luis Diaz. After Liverpool rejected Bayern’s initial advances and offer, the German champions have returned with a second offer believed to be around £69 million (€80 million.)

The reigning Bundesliga champions have endured a summer of spurned advances and failed bids. Nico Williams signed a new contract with Athletic Club, VfB Stuttgart have held firm on their valuation of Nick Woltemade and Liverpool beat Bayern to the record-breaking acquisition of Florian Wirtz.

Diaz, who has a contract at Anfield until June 2027, has made it clear he wants to leave the Anfield club this summer.
